It started like this:
A chilly Friday night, the garage door half open, music spilling out, and a half-dozen friends standing around a Civic with the bumper off. The goal? Install a new set of headlights before the midnight meet.

We had done this plenty of times before, but the lights we had ordered looked nothing like the pictures. Fitment was terrible, output was weak, and the housing felt like it would crack in a month. That night, frustration turned into an idea:

What if we made our own gear? What if we created parts designed by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts — parts that looked killer, fit perfectly, and worked as promised?

Over the next months, we worked out of that same garage. We researched, tested, and re-tested. We tried different LEDs, housing materials, and beam patterns. We learned how much detail it really takes to make something worthy of going on your build.

The first time we bolted in a set we’d built ourselves, the garage lit up like daylight. We took it for a spin through the empty streets, the beams cutting sharp through the night, and we knew: this is it. This is what we’ve been looking for.

From there, word spread — first at local meets, then on forums, then on Instagram. Soon we were shipping across the country, hearing from builders in every state. Guys with slammed Civics, lifted Tacomas, track-ready 370Zs — all rocking TunedWorks lights.

But we didn’t stop there. Lighting was just the start. We began adding more accessories, more upgrades, always keeping the same standard: if we wouldn’t put it on our own cars, it doesn’t go in the store.

Today, TunedWorks is still run by the same crew, still testing every product ourselves, still showing up at meets, still chasing that perfect build.

Because this isn’t just business for us — it’s culture. It’s late nights, loud engines, and the feeling of owning the road under a perfect set of lights.
